Miller happy to fight for place

West Bromwich Albion's Ishmael Miller has said he would welcome the competition for places if another striker arrives at the club in January.

Miller, 21, struggled at the start of the season but has since scored two goals in his last four games.

He told the club's official website: "If there is someone who can make us better and stronger then we should be looking to bring him in.

"It will give us a better chance of staying up."

Despite making their best ever start to a Premier League season, the Baggies have slumped to the bottom of the table after losing five of their last six games.

Albion are the division's lowest scorers with just 10 goals from 13 matches but Miller is sure things will improve.

"People have said we've not been scoring enough goals but, to be fair, it's difficult," he said.

"I could have scored more and Roman [Bednar] could have scored more but I feel every team misses chances.

"If you get a chance you need to try and make it count," he added.
