Sibaya in Baggies trials
MacBeth Sibaya playing in South Africa's World Cup match against Paraguay
Sibaya played for South Africa at the World Cup
Midfielder MacBeth Sibaya has withdrawn from the South Africa squad to travel to England for trials with newly-promoted English Premier League side West Bromwich Albion.

He was due to play in the Cosafa Castle Cup quarter-final against Madagascar in Port Elizabeth but will now leave Johannesburg for England on Sunday.

Sibaya, who has made 13 appearances for the national team, plays for Jomo Cosmos in the South African league.

The 24-year-old player featured for South Africa in all three of their matches at the World Cup finals.

South Africa coach Jomo Sono, who is also the owner of Jomo Cosmos, said there had been several offers for the player from several European clubs since the World Cup.

Sono claimed the Italian club Brescia, which had declared their interest in Sibaya, subjected him to a medical test last week.
