Walsall must give Chris Hutchings time - Darren Wrack
Wrack made over 300 appearances for Walsall
Walsall should give manager Chris Hutchings time to improve results, according to the club's former long-serving midfielder Darren Wrack.
Wrack does not feel it is time for a change although the club are bottom of League One.
"It's the start of the season, there's only 10 games gone, why hit the panic button now?" Wrack told BBC WM.
"There's a long way to go, you don't want to start jumping to conclusions saying you want the manager out."
Hutchings' future has been the subject of much speculation after Walsall's run of one point from seven league games saw them plummet to the foot of the table.
Last weekend's defeat at home to fellow strugglers Yeovil led to the club's chief executive Stefan Gamble issuing a statement in support of the coaching staff.
And Wrack insists there is time for Hutchings to rescue the Saddlers' season.
"It is quite tight down there, two or three wins together and you're looking at mid-table comfortably or just above," said Wrack.
"Fingers crossed they can get the results. No-one wants to see anyone leaving or anyone under pressure - fingers crossed the results come sooner rather than later."
The Saddlers are at home again this weekend against Exeter City, and may have experienced campaigners Darren Byfield and Steve Jones back in contention after injury.
