Walsall have extended the contract of left-back Paul Boertien until the end of the season.
Boertien, 30, signed an initial six month deal with the Saddlers last summer but will now stay for the remainder of the current campaign.
Walsall manager Chris Hutchings told the club's official website: "Paul is a very experienced player and we are delighted he is staying.
"I am sure he will play an important role for the remainder of the season."
Meanwhile, Walsall midfielder Mark Bradley has been named in the Wales under-21 squad to play Northern Ireland on 10 February.
The Saddlers are optimistic that Tuesday night's League One match with leaders Leicester City will go ahead.
The pitch at the Banks's Stadium has been covered since the win over Leeds United on Saturday.
