Midfielder Gareth Edds believes Tranmere's 2-1 victory over Brighton has boosted the side's confidence ahead of Saturday's trip to Hartlepool.
The win at Prenton Park was Les Parry's first as caretaker boss and Edds hopes they can keep improving.
"We're going to go there with confidence and the win was good for us," Edds told BBC Radio Merseyside.
"I think the boys have stepped it up a bit and we've put the performances in so we can take that away from home."
The Australian added: "We've got to take it one game as it comes. You've got to try and win away from home as well.
"In the situation we are in we need to get some points away from home. That will be important for us and if we can get another back-to-back win, it will give us a lot of confidence.
"It was great to get the win and we definitely needed that. We've brought Brighton back into it and we've got ourselves back up [the table] as well."
