Tranmere striker Chris Greenacre is set to join New Zealand-based Australian League side Wellington Phoenix in the summer on a two-year contract.

The 31-year-old will complete the move in June, at the end of what has been an injury-plagued season at Prenton Park.

Greenacre's last competitive appearance was against Brighton on 20 December, where he suffered a foot injury.

He joined Rovers after leaving Stoke in July 2005 and has scored 53 goals in 163 games for Tranmere.

The former Manchester City trainee was the club's leading scorer in each of his first three seasons at Prenton Park.
