Tranmere striker Chris Greenacre has signed a new two-year deal to keep him at the club until the summer of 2009. The 29-year-old, who scored 18 times in his first campaign with Rovers last season, is again the club's top scorer this term with 19 goals.
Greenacre signed the new deal despite interest from Championship clubs.
"I said when I signed originally that I was here for the long haul and I'm pleased the club want me to stay," Greenacre said.
