Bas Savage scored his eighth goal of the season against Hereford
Tranmere manager Ronnie Moore says there is more to come from striker Bas Savage after he scored the opening goal in the 2-1 win over Hereford on Monday.
Savage has formed a useful partnership with Ian Moore in the Rovers attack with Rovers now in play-off contention.
"I'd like to see Bas get more goals, I think there are more goals in him," the Rovers boss told BBC Radio Merseyside.
"He's got good ability. Maybe there was a little too much play down the channels but he's had a good game."
Moore added: "It's a nice little partnership there and they're both good players.
"I'd just like to see Ian get on the end of one or two things. They didn't just quite fall for him today.
With the play-offs in sight the manager admits his side will have to accept winning ugly as they need wins to stay in the top six.
"I don't think anyone can moan that we have won the game," continued Moore.
"It's just that we didn't win with the champagne. We've won with a pint of larger and a pint of bitter.
"But if we have to win that way - that's how we have to do it."
