Buckle was delighted with the commitment of his side against Lewes
Torquay manager Paul Buckle says he was happy with how his side responded against Lewes on Tuesday after their FA Cup defeat against Coventry City.
The Gulls won 2-0 at the Dripping Pan to banish the memories of Saturday's 1-0 loss at Plainmoor.
"Credit to the players - no hangover, no disappointment, just a proper performance with a lot of discipline," Buckle told BBC Radio Devon.
The win keeps Torquay fourth in the Blue Square Premier table.
"That shows the mentality at this moment in time at Torquay United and I'm absolutely delighted," Buckle added.
"It's always a worry that after such a big game on Saturday against Coventry, which took a lot out of us, that we might come here and be a bit down or complacent.
"But we've come to a tough place. You saw commitment from my team and we probably could have scored a couple more."
