Lewes remain deep in the relegation mire after full-back Kevin Nicholson inspired Torquay to a comfortable win at the Dripping Pan on Tuesday.

Nicholson enlivened a drab first-half by latching on to a Wayne Carlise free-kick to blast home from the edge of the area shortly before the interval.

The second period brought few chances until late on, when Nicholson crossed for Roscoe DSane to seal the points.

Lewes' best chance came courtesy of a long-range effort from Shaun Wilkinson.
