Buckle's Torquay have won 13 of their last 15 matches

Torquay United manager Paul Buckle has praised his squad after they set a new club record of 15 games without defeat in their 4-1 win over Lewes on Tuesday.

The Gulls have not lost in any competition since a 1-0 defeat at Kidderminster on 4 September.

It has seen them rocket to the top of the Blue Square Premier League.

"We were fully aware of the record and I'm very very proud of the record and the run that the players are on, it's fantastic," he told BBC Radio Devon.

"We were in the mood to finish the chances tonight and credit to the players because all the goals were great goals," he added.
