Rosenior was sacked as Brentford manager in November 2006 |
Torquay have named former first-team coach Leroy Rosenior as their head coach following their relegation from the Football League. The 43-year-old takes over from Keith Curle who was on a short-term contract which expires at the end of next month.
"I'm not promising overnight success. I'm enthused to be back, in many ways I wish I had never left," he told the club website.
"Everything stems from what happens on the pitch next season."
Rosenior's first spell at Plainmoor lasted for nearly four years, before he left the club by mutual consent in February 2006.
He worked as a first-team coach at Shrewsbury before being appointed Brentford manager in June 2006, only to be sacked five months later.
More recently, he worked with the Sierra Leone national team and was in charge for their friendly with Leyton Orient earlier this month.
Sierra Leone had hoped he would carry on working with them in the future.
