Sierra Leone want Leroy Rosenior to help further with the national team

Rosenior has agreed to work with the Sierra Leone national team for their friendly with English League One club Leyton Orient on Monday.

Khadi is keen for Rosenior, who played one game for the Leone Stars in 1994, to help out in future matches though.

"We are negotiating for him to come to Sierra Leone to help us with future matches," Khadi told BBC Sport.

"We are trying hard and we are struggling but we think we'll get there.

"I think he is determined to help bring success to Sierra Leone."

Rosenior will have a squad largely made up of foreign-based stars including Monaco striker Mohamed Kallon, after just two players playing in Sierra Leone were issued with British visas.

Kallon plays despite being banned by the Confederation of African Football for the Sierra Leone's remaining 2008 African Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The SLFA president feels that the friendly against Leyton Orient can be a stepping stone to better things.

"Little drops of water make a mighty ocean, nothing's too small for Sierra Leone," Kahdi said philosophically.

"We intend coming back to play in August and we are contacting the Ivory Coast, Ghana and Nigeria as we try to improve things.

"You have to start somewhere and this is a starting point."
