Torquay ended their 80-year stay in the Football League with a tame stalemate against Hereford at Plainmoor. After a drab first half visiting striker Andy Williams hit the bar from 16 yards and Alan Connell saw an angled volley well held by Martin Horsell.
Torquay went closest in the 81st minute when substitute Ryan Dickson forced Wayne Brown into tipping over a delightful, curling free-kick.
Williams and Simon Travis also wasted promising chances for the Bulls.
