Mills is back for a second spell as Tamworth manager |
Tamworth's new boss Gary Mills is pleased to return for his second spell as manager of the Conference side. Mills left the Lambs in 2002 to become assistant manager at Coventry, and has since managed Notts County and Conference North side Alfreton Town.
Having left Alfreton to return to Tamworth, his first game in charge was Saturday's 1-0 home defeat by Crawley.
"I've learnt a lot - we could have got at least a point but we can't afford to miss penalties," Mills said.
"We put up a good show in the first half, but lost our shape when they scored in our desperation to get a goal back."
He replaces player-boss Mark Cooper, who left the club by mutual consent last week.
