Pook earned a new deal because of the number of games he played

Swindon Town boss Maurice Malpas expects midfielder Michael Pook to report back for pre-season training.

The 21-year-old, who was told he is only likely to be a squad player this season, has been looking around for a new club without success.

Malpas told BBC Radio Swindon: "As far as I'm aware Pooky is coming in next Friday to do our pre-season.

"I was just open and honest with him. If he comes back in that's fine, he'll have to fight for his place."
