Roger Freestone's 13-year stay at Swansea City is over after the goalkeeper was released on Tuesday. The 35-year-old has made 566 league appearances for Swansea during his time at the Vetch Field.
Striker Kevin Nugent, winger Stuart Roberts, midfielder Jonathan Coates and left-back Michael Howard have also not been offered new deals.
However, centre back Kristian O'Leary has been offered a new contract by manager Kenny Jackett.
Thirty-five-year-old Nugent has missed out on a new contract despite scoring 11 goals this season
Howard has not played since Kenny Jackett took over as manager because of a hernia injury, while central defender Matthew Rees is going back to Millwall after a loan spell.
Along with O'Leary, who has featured either in defence or midfield in every game since Jackett took over as manager, right-back Stuart Jones has also been offered a new deal.
The club's 11 players already with contracts will be reporting back for pre-season training on 28 June.
Youngsters Jamie Rewbury and Antonio Corbisiero will also be offered professional contracts, as 18-year-old central defender Rewbury and19-year-old midfielder Corbisiero have impressed Jackett.
Freestone began his career at Newport County as a trainee before moving to Chelsea in 1987.
His four years at Stamford Bridge yielded just 42 league appearances and Freestone spent much of the 1989/90 season on loan at Swansea and Hereford.
A permanent move to the Vetch followed in September 1991, where he established himself as the undisputed Swansea No 1.
Freestone kept a club record number of clean sheets during Swansea's 1999-2000 promotion season and was named Club Player of the Year at the Welsh Player of the Year awards that term.
Freestone also won his only international cap that season, emerging with great credit from Wales' friendly match with Brazil at the Millennium Stadium in May 2000.
He finishes just 19 league appearances short of Wilf Milne's all-time record of 585.
