| | Layton Maxwell and Lee Fieldwick are the latest players to be told they will not be offered contracts by new Swansea manager Kenny Jackett. Midfielder Maxwell, who came to the Vetch on a non-contract basis in March, has left by mutual consent. Defender Fieldwick was on loan from Brentford, but has been told he is surplus to requirements by Jackett. Eight more Swans players are out of contract and are awaiting next week's announcement of the retained list. They are Roger Freestone, Kristian O'Leary, Jonathon Coates, Kevin Nugent, Matthew Rees, Stuart Roberts, Stuart Jones and the injured Michael Howard. Karl Connolly and Richard Jones were told on Friday that they had no future with the Swans.
