Edwards hails Keane's magic touch

Sunderland winger Carlos Edwards believes boss Roy Keane has found the formula required to keep the club in the Premier League this season.

"Roy did a bit of reshuffling and he's now getting to the key things he wants us to do," he told BBC Radio Newcastle.

"You have to learn quickly playing in the Premier League.

"We didn't win the last three games by luck and it's down to the players and the management to keep doing what we have been doing recently."

Signed for Luton on Bosman in May 2005
Cost Roy Keane 1.4m in January 2007
Since recovering from his hamstring injury Edwards has seen several new faces around the club, and has been impressed with one in particular.

"You want a player like Phil Bardsley behind you, as you have someone solid and who'll mash up the play down that side.

"All our wingers would dread coming against Phil because he's one of those guys who never shies away from a tackle."
