Jones and Edwards had withdrawn following injury and illness

Trinidad's Football Federation have confirmed Sunderland duo Kenwyne Jones and Carlos Edwards will be allowed to play in Saturday's game with West Ham.

Under Fifa rules, the TTFF could ban the pair for failing to report to the Trinidad squad for Wednesday's game against Jamaica.

However, negotiations involving team mate Dwight Yorke and boss Roy Keane resulted in the TTFF relenting.

Both will now be eligible for selection if declared fit for the weekend's game.

Edwards is suffering from a groin injury picked up in the 1-0 win at Aston Villa, while Jones was suffering from the flu.

Meanwhile, T&T legends Dwight Yorke and Russell Latapy have been invited to play for their country against England in the friendly match on 1 June.

Veteran midfielder Yorke has not represented his country since falling out with the TTFF over bonus payments following the 2006 World Cup.

"Dwight was thrilled to be invited to play against England," said T&T special advisor Jack Warner.

"He and Russell played a pivotal role in getting our country on the world map and this is our way of thanking them."
