Keane is tipping Carlos Edwards to have a big impact |
Sunderland boss Roy Keane is hoping the return of midfielder Carlos Edwards will provide the kick-start to their Premier League survival bid. Edwards has struggled with a string of injuries but Keane believes the Trinidad winger will be a key factor in the Black Cats' bid to stay up.
"He's been doing a lot of training," Keane told BBC Radio Newcastle.
"It's great to see him back. Someone like Carlos could be the difference to us remaining in the Premier League."

Keane has also refused to blame supporters for the stilted atmosphere during recent matches at the Stadium of Light.
"Sometimes we have to force ourselves on a game and get the fans behind us," he added.
"We can't expect 40000 people to come every week if they're thinking, 'Come on lads, give us a bit more.'
"Sunderland fans want to see us give it our best and the players are doing that but sometimes it's just a tackle that gives the fans a boost."
