Stoke City fans wishing to watch the home game with Chelsea on 27 September now have two options of alternative matches they can buy tickets for.
Supporters were required to buy another match ticket, for the Sunderland game on 28 October, if they wanted to secure a seat for the match against Chelsea.
Complaints from fans, saying the evening fixture was unsuitable, forced Stoke to change their original plan.
Fans can now choose the Spurs game on 19 October as their alternative match.
Stoke chief executive Tony Scholes had earlier reassured supporters that the club would try and give them a better deal after the original complaints.
He told BBC Radio Stoke: "Sometimes, with the ticketing systems in place, it's not as easy to resolve problems as we would like.
"But if there's a way in which we can find a solution for those out-of-town people, and for children in particular, then we will do that."
