Ben Barker top scored with 13 points, with Klaus Jakobsen the only other rider to notch double figures.

"I think getting 40 points on an away track in this league is not bad going," said team manager John Woolridge.

The Potters will have Chris Kerr as a guest rider for Friday's meeting at Workington before Newcastle visit Loomer Road on Saturday.
