Swailes' former clubs include Northampton Town and Macclesfield
Stockport County defender Danny Swailes has signed a one-year deal to stay at Edgeley Park.
The 31-year-old centre-half had become a free agent having initially signed a six-month loan deal to join the Silkmen from MK Dons in January.
New boss Paul Simpson has also made his third signing by bringing in 20-year-old former Southampton defender Jordan Rose, who impressed in a recent trial.
Rose featured prominently in this week's 5-0 friendly win at Northwich.
