Stockport boss Gary Ablett has admitted the survival hopes of the League One club are 'slim'.
County's 1-0 defeat at home to Oldham on Tuesday left the Hatters 13 points adrift of safety.
Ablett told BBC Radio Manchester: "We feel we did enough to have won last Saturday (against Gillingham), we could have been two or three goals up.
"If we're honest our chances of getting to fifth bottom place are slim. It's very tough, testing times."
He added: "It gets tougher both on and off the field, I have to say. But we've got our pride to think of and we've got to stick together."
