Whalley scored five goals in 22 appearances for Hyde
Southport have re-signed winger Shaun Whalley after he was released by Hyde earlier this week.
The 23-year-old had the chance to join the Sandgrounders in the summer, but instead decided to move to Manchester.
The former Norwich trainee first played for Southport during a spell on loan from Wrexham in 2009.
Whalley joins recent signings John Paul Kissock and Karl Ledsham as boss Liam Watson looks to keep his side in the Blue Square Bet Premier this season.
