Southport have signed left-sided midfielder Karl Ledsham from Evo Stick North side Skelmersdale United.
Ledsham, 22, who can also operate in central midfield, joins the Sandgrounders on loan with a view to a permanent deal in January.
"Karl is my type of player, we have paid a fee to Skelmersdale," said Southport manager Liam Watson.
"I know that Karl has the grounding to really progress as a player. I am looking to strengthen."
Ledsham is expected to make his Southport debut against Eastbourne Borough at Haig Avenue on Saturday.
