Two late goals from York City's substitutes earned the Minstermen a deserved victory over Southport.
Leon Constantine sent Steve Dickinson the wrong way from the spot in the 88th minute after David McDermott's shot was blocked by Liam Blakeman's hand.
And, just two minutes later, Danny Racchi crossed for McDermott to head in at the near post and seal victory.
Throughout the game, Southport's negativity frustrated York, drawing the home fans' wrath for time-wasting.
York's third straight win lifts them to 12th place in the Blue Square Bet Premier table.
