Grant scored 47 goals in 127 league appearances while at Aldershot

Southend United took a look at four trialists in Wednesday night's reserve defeat by Stevenage.

Alexandre Tabillon, Walid Bouslimani, John Grant and Nathaniel Jarvis will all featured in the game.

French pair Tabillon, 19, and Bouslimani, 21, are both amateur players in their home country.

Grant, 29, is a former Aldershot striker while 18-year-old forward Jarvis is a Cardiff City youth product who is yet to play a first team game.
