Southend United have dropped their interest in on-trial strikers Elvis Hammond and Izale McLeod.
The pair were with the Shrimpers last week and featured in the reserve team's draw with Oxford.
"They've both left now. Neither were at the required standard," boss Paul Sturrock told the club website.
"I'd still like one more forward and, although we are on a limited budget, I think the chairman would support me in making that happen."
