Southend United striker Scott Spencer is on the verge of signing a new 12-month contract at Roots Hall.
The 21-year-old former Everton forward arrived at Roots Hall in January after leaving Rochdale and scored four goals.
"I will be staying here next season, It's just a formality," Spencer told the club's website.
Southend are also waiting to see if midfielders Franck Moussa, 20, and Damian Scannell, 25, will accept offers of new contracts.
