Colchester United have offered new contracts to midfielders David Prutton and Phil Ifil.
Prutton, 28, arrived on a free transfer from Leeds in February while Ifil, 23, joined the U's from Tottenham in 2008.
The club have also made an offer to full-back Marc Tierney, although he still has one year remaining on his current deal.
Meanwhile, Scott Vernon, Matt Lockwood, Sam Corcoran and Russell Malton have all been released.
