Tilson's side have notched up four wins on the bounce
Southend United manager Steve Tilson admitted his team were under-par in their victory over Yeovil.
The Blues have moved up to seventh in League One following their 2-1 win, their fourth in a row.
But Tilson admitted to BBC Essex: "[I was] just glad to get the three points, we didn't play well and I've got to be honest enough to say that.
"We were poor but the signs of a good side are when you can play badly and still get a result."
Despite their recent run of form, which has seen them rise up the table after a slow start to the season, Tilson would not allow himself to get too carried away.
"It doesn't even itself out until probably 12 or 15 games," he said.
"Even now if you lose two or three on the bounce, all of a sudden you're in the bottom six.
"It's important that we keep picking as many points up as we can in these 12 or 15 games and then hopefully push on from there."
