Southampton's proposed signing of ex-Birmingham defender Radhi Jaidi has collapsed, reports BBC Radio Solent.
The Tunisia international had passed a medical and agreed terms at St Mary's, but has not applied for a work permit, believing he would not be granted one.
The 33-year-old free agent was released by Birmingham following their promotion to the Premier League.
