Jaidi was part of the Championship's meanest defence last season

Birmingham City are letting defender Radhi Jaidi and goalkeeper Artur Krysiak leave St Andrew's when their contracts expires next month.

Tunisia international Jaidi, 33, joined Blues from Bolton in 2006 and scored six goals in 93 appearances.

He played a key role as Birmingham won promotion back to the Premier League, figuring in 30 Championship games.

Krysiak, 19, has failed to break into the Blues' first-team squad since arriving at the club in August 2006.

The Poland under-19 international, has been out on loan at Gretna, York, Swansea and Motherwell over the last two seasons.

A regular in Blues' academy and reserve teams, his further progress was blocked by Maik Taylor and Colin Doyle.

"We couldn't guarantee we wouldn't be in a very similar position next season in terms of Artur having to go out on loan again," said Birmingham's academy manager Terry Westley.

"We've already got two senior goalkeepers here, as well as young Jack Butland, who is the England under-16 goalkeeper, who we think very highly of."

Krysiak has played eight first-team games in total, for Gretna, York and Swansea.
