Striker Nathan Elder hopes his loan spell at AFC Wimbledon can help him revive his Shrewsbury Town career.

The 25-year-old will be available for Town's last two league games as AFC Wimbledon's season ends on 24 April.

"I have built my confidence up at AFC Wimbledon, which is what I needed," Elder, who has scored four goals for the Dons, told BBC Radio Shropshire.

"My first season didn't go as well as I hoped, I think after this loan spell I can get things back on track."

Elder, who will return to the Prostar Stadium in time for their closing games against Morecambe and Port Vale, added: "I have realised just how lucky you are at Shrewsbury.

"I've got two years left on my contract at Shrewsbury and I fully intend to stay for that amount of time.

"I'm not looking to go anywhere else at this moment in time."

Elder, who joined the Shrews from Brentford last summer, scored two goals in 22 appearances for Shrewsbury before going out on loan to the Blue Square Premier side.
