Play-offs tall order - Shrewsbury Town's Coughlan

Graham Coughlan
Coughlan may miss the end of the season with a thigh injury

Shrewsbury Town captain Graham Coughlan accepts they are unlikely to clinch a play-off place even if they win their remaining four games.

Town are six points off the top seven after Tuesday's goalless home draw with struggling Cheltenham.

Coughlan told BBC Radio Shropshire: "At the end of the day the league table doesn't lie.

"It has been done but it's a tall order. We need 71 points which in itself may not be enough."

The former Rotherham defender missed the match against Cheltenham after picking up a thigh strain which may keep him out of action for the rest of the season.

He said: "The lads will be disappointed with a draw but we will keep going and try to win every game, it's been a frustrating season."
