Shrewsbury Town unveil kit for club's 125th anniversary

Shrewsbury Town

Shrewsbury Town have announced plans to wear their original colours to mark next season's 125th anniversary.

The one-off kit will consist of blue shirts, white shorts and blue socks, but no amber.

General manager John Harris told BBC Shropshire that the club were keen to pay homage to Town's traditions.

"It's important to recognise history, go back to where it all started. The plan is to return to amber with the fans input in the next kit," he said.

"It's something that supporter's will be proud to wear, which they can either have on their backs or on their walls at home, a special way to commemorate the 125."
