Shrewsbury have eased their defensive worries by signing Huddersfield Town full-back Joe Skarz on loan until May.
Boss Paul Simpson decided to make the move after skipper Graham Coughlan pulled a hamstring.
Skarz, 20, has made 88 appearances for Huddersfield and had a loan spell at Hartlepool last season.
The graduate of Huddersfield's youth academy goes straight into Town's squad for Saturday's game with League Two play-off rivals Dagenham.
Terriers boss Lee Clark told the Huddersfield club website: "He is still a young player.
"And the opportunity for him to go and play first-team football with such a good team was too good to turn down."
