Paul Simpson's side have drawn 10 of their 18 away league games this term
Shrewsbury Town boss Paul Simpson was pleased with his team's performance despite their 10th away league draw of the season at Aldershot.
Top scorer Grant Holt wasted the best chance to break the 0-0 stalemate when he headed wide from close range.
But Simpson hailed the effort his men put in. "I'm pleased," he said. "But maybe we could have got a little bit more. We created some good chances.
"We had to make sure we didn't lose, so it's a positive we didn't lose."
Town have now drawn more away games this season than any team in League Two.
But they remain just a point outside the play-off zone in eighth place, despite defeats for two of their main promotion rivals, Bradford City and Exeter City.
Shrewsbury's only league win on the road this season came in their first away game of the campaign at Exeter, way back in August.
