Sheffield Wednesday striker Marcus Tudgay, 26, has signed a new four-year contract with the Championship club.
He had agreed a three-year contract with the Owls in May but did not sign and was subsequently the subject of a bid from Premier League side Burnley.
"I always felt confident that he would sign," Owls boss Brian Laws told BBC Radio Sheffield.
"We are delighted he's decided to stay with us. He didn't want to start the season with that uncertainty.

Tudgay was the Owls' top scorer last season with 14 goals and won the club's player of the year award.
The forward joined Wednesday in 2006 from Derby County and has since made 143 appearances, scoring 38 goals.
