Miller's signing follows ex-Cardiff defender Darren Purse's arrival
Sheffield Wednesday have signed former Ipswich midfielder Tommy Miller and ex-Cardiff centre-back Darren Purse on two-year contracts.
Miller, 30, who has also played for Hartlepool and Sunderland, has scored 98 goals in his league career and was released by Ipswich this summer.
"Tommy has been on our radar for quite a while," Owls boss Brian Laws told BBC Radio Sheffield.
"He's played the majority of his career at a very good level."
Laws continued: "His experience in the midfield area will help the youth and enthusiasm we have in the team."
"His versatility is obviously a key as well because he can play in a number of roles, but most importantly he can score goals.
"We want him to score goals as we've been a bit disappointed with our ratio of goals from midfield, and just those extra few goals could make a massive difference."
