Sheffield United have signed Coventry City's 29-year-old midfielder Michael Doyle on a free transfer.
The deal is Micky Adams' first permanent signing as Blades boss and reunites him with a player he managed when he was Sky Blues chief.
Adams told the club website: "He is a known quantity who has worked for me before. He will bring experience and competition for places in midfield."
The Irishman joined Coventry in 2003 and spent last season on loan at Leeds.
Doyle made 42 League One appearances for Leeds as they won promotion to the Championship but returned to Coventry in the summer.
