Coventry City midfielder Michael Doyle has been named in the Republic of Ireland squad to face Chile on 24 May. It is the first time Doyle has been called up by manager Steve Staunton and the 24-year-old is delighted to have been given a place in the 29-man squad.
"It will be a great experience and I just hope I can play some part and impress the gaffer," he said.
"I've been trying to keep my head down and give my all for Coventry but I'm delighted to be involved."
