Spring eyes permanent Blades deal

Spring is on loan from Luton Town
Matthew Spring is eyeing a permanent move to the Bramall Lane

On-loan Sheffield United midfielder Matthew Spring wants to make his move to Bramall Lane permanent.

The 29-year-old, who has just returned from an ankle injury, is on a year-long loan from Luton and has told BBC Radio Sheffield he wants to stay at the Lane.

"That's the aim, I've got the kids up here now and they're in school so I'd love to stay," said Spring.

He added: "Hopefully something will happen soon and I will be offered a new contract."
