Mansfield Town defender Maxime Chanot is to return to Sheffield United when his loan spell expires on Wednesday.

The French teenager picked up his second red card in seven games in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Weymouth, earning him a four-game suspension.

Stags boss Billy McEwan said: "I have had a good chat with him and he will return to Sheffield United much wiser.

"His stay here has been a big learning process. I'd like to thank Max for his efforts," he told the club website.
