Scunthorpe United have had a second undisclosed bid for Bristol Rovers striker Will Hoskins rejected, BBC Radio Humberside understands.
Hoskins, 24, is a former England Under-20 international and has scored 14 goals in 25 games for Rovers since joining from Watford in June 2010.
Manager Ian Baraclough is now expected to turn his attention on to other potential targets.
Brighton striker Glenn Murray, 27, has also been linked with the Iron.
