Rule recently called for a review of the Super League salary cap |
Hull FC chief executive James Rule says they are continuing to pursue a number of transfer targets ahead of the start of the 2011 Super League season. Rule would not comment on reports linking them with Crusaders half-back Jarrod Sammut but says they are still considering all of their options. "We're actively engaged in a number of talks," Rule told BBC Radio Humberside. "It'd be foolhardy for me to suggest specifics of which players we're talking about." The Black and Whites have already added back row forward Joe Westerman [from Castleford] and winger Will Sharp [from Harlequins] but the recent release of hooker Shaun Berrigan from the final year of his contract has freed up space on the club's salary cap. "Having space in the salary cap will naturally prompt us to have a number of conversations and everyone can rest assured that our aim is to utilise that space."
