Hull City have released forward Nicky Featherstone from the remaining six months of his contract, reports BBC Radio Humberside.
The 22-year-old joined the Tigers' centre of excellence when he was eight and signed professional terms in 2006.
He made 16 first-team appearances for Hull and has enjoyed two loan spells with Grimsby Town.
Featherstone has been on-loan with Hereford since November and is expected to sign for them on a permanent basis.
