Pearce has impressed already at Glanford Park.

Scunthorpe United have extended the loan of Birmingham City defender Krystian Pearce until January.

The 18-year-old England Under-19 international was initially set to stay at Glanford Park for just one month.

However injuries to Izzy Iriekpen, Kenny Milne and Andy Crosby has convinced Iron boss Nigel Adkins to extend the teenager's contract.

The defender has made two appearances so far, helping the club to two victories and two clean sheets.
